Angels of Umdoni descended the hill to our beautiful Impithi Beach Kiosk to bring us glad tidings & the age old songs of Christmas. We, who had gathered there, were treated to scrumptious food, once again made by several of our hardworking members of our Conservancy. The weather played it's part, unlike last year, & a lovely relaxing sing song was had by all. It was heard said that the highlight is always the Zulu rendition of the coming together song!
I love to see the children running around, some in little Santa suits, waving torches although it was not yet dark. Perhaps the significance of Christmas is lost on some, but family time & a spirit of giving is to me the most important message at this time of year. The birth of a baby all those years ago serves to unite us in a very significant way. Wishing all our members & their families a safe & joyous festive season & we look forward to a bright new beginning in 2018.
